Your odds are shown up front
Every competition has a maximum ticket cap — and we never sell more than that number. Your odds of winning are simply your number of entries ÷ total ticket cap. For example, if you buy 5 tickets in a draw capped at 500, your odds are 1 in 100.
The cap and current entries sold are displayed on each competition page before you enter, updated in real time as tickets sell. Your odds only improve as fewer tickets remain.
You must answer the skill question
Every entry — paid or free — must include an answer to the qualifying skill question. At the time of the draw, only entries with the correct answer are included in the prize draw. This is what makes Sortis a skill-based competition under Section 14 of the Gambling Act 2005, rather than a game of pure chance.

Complete checkout (or post your free entry). You'll receive your unique ticket number(s) by email — proof that you're in the draw.
Watch the live draw
When the draw closes, the winner is picked on camera using a verifiable random selection method. The recording is published publicly and the winner announced within 24 hours.
Guaranteed draw — every time
We never cancel, extend, or downgrade a draw because not enough tickets sold. Every draw has a guaranteed winner, drawn on the stated date regardless of ticket sales. You will always get a fair shot at winning.
How the winner is chosen
When the competition closes (ticket cap reached or closing time reached — whichever is first), all entries that answered the skill question correctly are pooled. A single winner is selected at random from that pool using a verifiable random number generator, conducted live on camera.
Where two or more entries are otherwise equal, a further random draw from those tied entries determines the winner. The draw recording is published on our website and social channels so anyone can verify the result.
Free entry has the same odds
Free postal entries are treated exactly the same as paid entries. They go into the same draw, with the same odds. See our How to Enter for Free page for full details.
